There are a lot of names in the Seduction Industry that it can be a truly confusing mess. Who to trust, who’s as good as they say they are, who are scam artists, etc. For every good PUA, there are at least 10 creepy wannabes pickup artists and scam artists.

So I can’t really speak to all those questions and issues.

Quite frankly I avoid immersing myself too much in the PUA Community except for the occasional trade show and I avoid reading and watching other pickup artist’s material like the plague. But that doesn’t help YOU make sense of this confusing mess.

So I thought that I would give my list of PUAs that I’ve hung out with in real life (not including my own personal friends like William the Better Asian Man as that would be obviously unfair). Some are friends while others professional acquaintances. What this is NOT is a list of the Top Pick Up Artist of 2011, as in who is the best teacher or best pickup artist or who runs the best bootcamps or has the best pick same night lay game.

Maybe they are, maybe they aren’t.

Instead, this is a list of people that I don’t mind, and even enjoy hanging out with. We’ve either done business or spent personal time together in a non-professional, personal setting. I can’t speak for their pickup artist bootcamps, or how good they are, and whatnot. This is a list of the Top PUAs of 2011 That Didn’t Creep Me Out and that’s it.

(My apologies in advance to those that didn’t make the list, I could only put 10 names up there!)

With that in mind take this list (in no real order) as you will. To each of them, I asked this question:

“If a man got amnesia and lost all his pickup and seduction skills tomorrow, what’s the first thing you’d teach him to do before anything else and why?”

   I’ve known Matador for YEARS. He’s one of my oldest PUA friends since we both started back in 2004. I remember sarging with him (and accidentally AMOGGING him) back in 2004 in Orange County. He and I both have gone a long way from where we were before: two newbie wannabe PUAs running around town experimenting with different tactics, strategies and just basically having a good ol’ fun time with it. Nowadays. we’re old war horses and veterans in the industry and I’m very glad to have seen his rising success in the community and out of it from his own TV show to movies and Broadway plays. MATADOR’S ANSWER: “I would teach him about the types of value and how you can manipulate them in your favor while dealing with the opposite sex.”

2. Bravo (Bravo PUA) -

   I first met Bravo at Neil Strauss’s mansion party for VH1 The Pickup Artist when he worked for Stylelife. We’ve hung out at the occasional PUA trade show and he’s very much a man’s man. He’s since moved on from Los Angeles, but he’s still out there helping out guys in need. BRAVO’S ANSWER: “The very first thing I would teach a guy who forget everything is that this IS something you can learn and get better at. When that lightswitch flipped in my head it transformed me from a chubby. depressed 25 yr old divorcé who was dreading getting back into the dating scene, into a guy who now had hope that he would get better at this and not go through such a horrible experience again. I would like to explain this to him while working on something that makes an instance difference, a fashion and hair make over (I like to be efficient!). When you look good you feel good and that confidence then makes everything easier.”

   I’ve collaborated with Kezia Noble for a PUA All Star Workshop and while I know there’s controversy surrounding whether or not a female can actually teach pickup, I personally find the unique insight that Kezia Noble gives into the female psyche to be fascinating and it simple reinforces what I already know. I’ve always known that the certain techniques and things that I do work consistently, but it’s also nice to hear from a beautiful girl WHY it’s working on her and WHAT she’s thinking. That and her wing-girl Dassy prefers Asian men and that’s always a plus in my book! KEZIA NOBLE’S ANSWER: “First thing I would teach him is ‘to perfect his body language’ simply because this is exactly what I teach all the students who come to me with no skills. Perfecting body language is the same as behavioural therapy, which I am a great believer of, and it is something which has helped my students a lot. Once you create the ideal confident body language, from position of legs all the way to facial expression and eye contact, you literally change your INNER state as a result. Literally our actions shape our beliefs. When you walk and talk like a confident human being, not only does your internal anxiety disapear rapidily, but you also become that confident person.As a result your energy that you give off changes too, and this is one of the first things a girl pick up on.”

   I was first introduced to Vince Kelvin through Johnny Wolf when they started holding the annual PUA Summit in Hollywood. Through that long and intense weekend, I vividly remember thinking, “How the hell does these little man with a funny European accent have SO MUCH ENERGY??!” Vince is a freaking terminator and dynamo. Recently we shared a hotel and spoke at the Sydney PUA Summit and let me tell you, Vince Kelvin has no Approach Anxiety whatsoever and is completely fearless not to mention genuinely caring and fun. VINCE KELVIN’S ANSWER: “If a man had amnesia, I would first teach him [is that] (1) Every reason why you shouldn’t or couldn’t talk to a girl is nothing but a convenient excuse! (2) Everything a women says or does you can use to your own advantage!”

5. James Marshall (The Natural Lifestyles) – I met James Marshall at the Australian Master Class Tour where we also took time to do a video about Natural Game. We’ve done several tradeshows together and both Gareth Jones and I have had the pleasure of his gracious hospitality in crashing at his place and being introduced to his circle of amazing friends, staff, and beautiful girls.JAMES MARSHALL’S ANSWER: “Firstly, great question. Nothing like stripping everything away to ground level to make you think about what is really important. I would teach my amnesiac Casanova to do the following: Watch everyone closely. Watch the way they walk, the way they look at each other, how they dress and how they react to each other. Look at how women respond to men, the more precisely and detailed the better. The secrets to seduction lie in awareness. Watch yourself internally, how you react, the patterns of your thoughts, your excuses and realise they are not you, just passing patterns. Watch carefully the social world around you, without preconception and the matrix starts to become apparent. My Gong Fu teacher in China once told me: “At first sight of the enemy, do nothing. Next gather reconnaissance. Finally, act-never bluff”. In other words, awareness, understanding, action. It’s all there, the rest is just details.”
6. Keychain (Love Systems) -

   I met Keychain while speaking at the Real Man Conference where we shared a hotel room.  We spoke about the books we liked to read, music, how to sneak past customs, had a proper pint at a proper British pub and I’ve even had the opportunity to listen to him play. Keychain has always been gracious enough with an open offer to crash at his pad in London, but each time I go over, I always end up shacking up with a beautiful London girl for the weekend. KEYCHAIN’S ANSWER: “Live a full life. Engage in your career, take care of your body,invest in the people around you and pursue your passions. The rest will take care of itself.”

7. Johnny Soporno (Worthy Playboy) – One of the more interesting and flavorful characters in the industry, Johnny Soporno invited us out to these porn star club parties in Los Angeles. We’ve done the tradeshows together and I’ve had the privilege of hanging with him out in Toronto. At the very least, I find his personal philosophy on women and sex to be absolutely fascinating. JOHNNY SOPORNO’S ANSWER: “If I lost my memory, the very first thing I’d want to relearn would be how to spot a woman in ‘estrus’ (ovulating/in heat), because once you can identify them, you don’t need any Game at all, just happy self-satisfaction, and the comfort to approach and say “Hey!” without averting your eyes while you’re walking over. When the woman is ovulating, she’s not looking for Mister Right, she’ll take Mister Right-Now!”
8. RedPoleQ (PickUp Asia) -

   I’ve hung out with RedPoleQ during the Australian Master Class Tour where we did a video on his tactics on picking up Asian girls. We’ve had a lot of fun sarging Sydney together and he was an incredible sport taking caring of a grenade while I took my girl behind the store. REDPOLEQ’S ANSWER: “I would tell him to learn martial arts and get into a real ring fight. Seriously. Could be Kung-fu, or Boxing, or MMA. Doesn’t matter.Rationale being this, if he lost all his memory, the first thing he needs is to regain his sense of identity … stop thinking and get his “killer” masculine instinct back. Really, I can think of no way besides getting him to fight,be in tune with himself, his sense of self and his body. Not to mention his confidence.After that, it gets easy. All we’re talking about is some skills.But identity and grounding before skills … and considering he forgot everything – i’ll get him to fight.I know for me, learning martial arts was a big part of my development. Pushing my body to its limits, getting beat up, knocked out and then getting back up again–just deciding to get in the ring with someone who was trying to bash my brains in is a lot like dealing with AA.I think that’s one reason I was able to deal with AA and move on to the rest of my game so quickly.”

9. Speer (Speer Method) -

   I met Speer out in Miami while I was running a Miami bootcamp. For having never once met, Speer was a very gracious host about town, proudly showing us his beautiful city, driving us around, and giving us the scoop on the best places to go. A big proponent of lifestyle game, I recently spoke at Speer’s Global Pickup Conference. SPEER’S ANSWER: “I would teach a man to love himself, go out, have a good time and enjoy his lifestyle. All the things listed above break down into one thing – enjoying ones lifestyle. You see the problem stems from low self esteem and an lack of “Lifestyle Gravity”. Most people even with a solid lifestyle can’t share it for a lack of understanding the principals it takes to effectivly communicate it without sounding like they are bragging. Lifestyle Gravity – a force that makes people gravitate into your life. Primarily based on the way you live and the vibe you send out.”

10. Adam Lyons (PUA Training) - I met Adam at one of the many tradeshows where we did a video and we keep on running into each whether it’s for a PUA conference or we’re both coincidentally running a bootcamp in London. Married to the beautiful Amanda Lyons (a native Dallasite like myself), Adam Lyons is a genuinely good guy with incredible motivational speaking skills. Yes, he is British, but I forgive for him that. ADAM LYON’S ANSWER: “If a man got amnesia and lost all of his pick up and seduction skills tomorrow, the first thing I would teach him is to make female friends. I would teach him that it is not about hitting on women right away or having sex with them, but to concentrate on having a healthy social ife. This would be taught in a multi-platform approach. The first thing would be to join a program or group that has classes with girls. For example, a gym that has yoga, dance classes, cardio kickboxing, etc. Or a comedy group, acting class, painting class, lazer tag league… It can be anything. The next step would be to organize an event that would then lead up to it being a singles event. For example, speed dating would work. You can spread the word about this through friends and word of mouth, putting out a Facebook blast, making a Meetup.com group and telling everyone to bring more people to ensure it is a success.The last thing I would teach him would be to go out and about in bars and clubs. Once he has a solid foundation of friends and women in his life it would then make sense to go out to meet new people. They would already add to his social circle and fit with the aim of having a female heavy life. I would make sure he then knew to sexually escalate on all of the new girls to have them appreciate him as a touchy feely person who is in touch with his sexuality. Then he can use that basis and preselection to date who he wants to date.“

Over Valentine’s Day of this year, I had been invited to speak at a literally packed house at Yale University on the topic of Asian Male Masculinity. Then we had a Valentine’s Day bootcamp in New York City with students ranging from a 20-something Indian virgin to a really good looking, muscular boxer from London.

And amongst this motley crew was a journalist, one Wesley Yang. He was a reporter for New York Magazine and he was going undercover at our ABCs of Attraction PUA bootcamp. His story?

Asian Americans who are fighting the Bamboo Ceiling featuring yours truly, JT “the Asian Playboy” Tran.

Wesley Yang saw firsthand what we taught, how we taught, and the results that our students could and did get (ranging from one night stands, threesomes, serious girlfriends, and even marriages).

My featured portion of this vast exploration of the Asian American experience starts on page 6 and so I’ve taken the liberty of just copying and pasting my portion of the story.

Asian American Like Me by Wesley Yang

What if you missed out on the lessons in masculinity taught in the gyms and locker rooms of America’s high schools? What if life has failed to make you a socially dominant alpha male who runs the American boardroom and prevails in the American bedroom? What if no one ever taught you how to greet white people and make them comfortable? What if, despite these deficiencies, you no longer possess an immigrant’s dutiful forbearance for a secondary position in the American narrative and want to be a player in the scrimmage of American appetite right now, in the present?

How do you undo eighteen years of a Chinese upbringing?

This is the implicit question that J. T. Tran has posed to a roomful of Yale undergraduates at a master’s tea at Silliman College. His answer is typically Asian: practice. Tran is a pickup artist who goes by the handle Asian Playboy. He travels the globe running “boot camps,” mostly for Asian male students, in the art of attraction. Today, he has been invited to Yale by the Asian-American Students Alliance.

“Creepy can be fixed,” Tran explains to the standing-room-only crowd. “Many guys just don’t realize how to project themselves.” These are the people whom Tran spends his days with, a new batch in a new city every week: nice guys, intelligent guys, motivated guys, who never figured out how to be successful with women. Their mothers had kept them at home to study rather than let them date or socialize. Now Tran’s company, ABCs of Attraction, offers a remedial education that consists of three four-hour seminars, followed by a supervised night out “in the field,” in which J. T., his assistant Gareth Jones, and a tall blonde wing-girl named Sarah force them to approach women. Tuition costs $1,450.

“One of the big things I see with Asian students is what I call the Asian poker face—the lack of range when it comes to facial expressions,” Tran says. “How many times has this happened to you?” he asks the crowd. “You’ll be out at a party with your white friends, and they will be like—‘Dude, are you angry?’ ” Laughter fills the room. Part of it is psychological, he explains. He recalls one Korean-American student he was teaching. The student was a very dedicated schoolteacher who cared a lot about his students. But none of this was visible. “Sarah was trying to help him, and she was like, ‘C’mon, smile, smile,’ and he was like …” And here Tran mimes the unbearable tension of a face trying to contort itself into a simulacrum of mirth. “He was so completely unpracticed at smiling that he literally could not do it.” Eventually, though, the student fought through it, “and when he finally got to smiling he was, like, really cool.”

Tran continues to lay out a story of Asian-American male distress that must be relevant to the lives of at least some of those who have packed Master Krauss’s living room. The story he tells is one of Asian-American disadvantage in the sexual marketplace, a disadvantage that he has devoted his life to overturning. Yes, it is about picking up women. Yes, it is about picking up white women. Yes, it is about attracting those women whose hair is the color of the midday sun and eyes are the color of the ocean, and it is about having sex with them. He is not going to apologize for the images of blonde women plastered all over his website. This is what he prefers, what he stands for, and what he is selling: the courage to pursue anyone you want, and the skills to make the person you desire desire you back. White guys do what they want; he is going to do the same.

But it is about much more than this, too. It is about altering the perceptions of Asian men—perceptions that are rooted in the way they behave, which are in turn rooted in the way they were raised—through a course of behavior modification intended to teach them how to be the socially dominant figures that they are not perceived to be. It is a program of, as he puts it to me later, “social change through pickup.”

Tran offers his own story as an exemplary Asian underdog. Short, not good-looking, socially inept, sexually null. “If I got a B, I would be whipped,” he remembers of his childhood. After college, he worked as an aerospace engineer at Boeing and Raytheon, but internal politics disfavored him. Five years into his career, his entire white cohort had been promoted above him. “I knew I needed to learn about social dynamics, because just working hard wasn’t cutting it.”

His efforts at dating were likewise “a miserable failure.” It was then that he turned to “the seduction community,” a group of men on Internet message boards like alt.seduction.fast. It began as a “support group for losers” and later turned into a program of self-improvement. Was charisma something you could teach? Could confidence be reduced to a formula? Was it merely something that you either possessed or did not possess, as a function of the experiences you had been through in life, or did it emerge from specific forms of behavior? The members of the group turned their computer-science and engineering brains to the question. They wrote long accounts of their dates and subjected them to collective scrutiny. They searched for patterns in the raw material and filtered these experiences through social-psychological research. They eventually built a model.

This past Valentine’s Day, during a weekend boot camp in New York City sponsored by ABCs of Attraction, the model is being played out. Tran and Jones are teaching their students how an alpha male stands (shoulders thrown back, neck fully extended, legs planted slightly wider than the shoulders). “This is going to feel very strange to you if you’re used to slouching, but this is actually right,” Jones says. They explain how an alpha male walks (no shuffling; pick your feet up entirely off the ground; a slight sway in the shoulders). They identify the proper distance to stand from “targets” (a slightly bent arm’s length). They explain the importance of “kino escalation.” (You must touch her. You must not be afraid to do this.) They are teaching the importance of sub-­communication: what you convey about yourself before a single word has been spoken. They explain the importance of intonation. They explain what intonation is. “Your voice moves up and down in pitch to convey a variety of different emotions.”

All of this is taught through a series of exercises. “This is going to feel completely artificial,” says Jones on the first day of training. “But I need you to do the biggest shit-eating grin you’ve ever made in your life.” Sarah is standing in the corner with her back to the students—three Indian guys, including one in a turban, three Chinese guys, and one Cambodian. The students have to cross the room, walking as an alpha male walks, and then place their hands on her shoulder—firmly but gently—and turn her around. Big smile. Bigger than you’ve ever smiled before. Raise your glass in a toast. Make eye contact and hold it. Speak loudly and clearly. Take up space without apology. This is what an alpha male does.

Before each student crosses the floor of that bare white cubicle in midtown, Tran asks him a question. “What is good in life?” Tran shouts.

The student then replies, in the loudest, most emphatic voice he can muster: “To crush my enemies, see them driven before me, and to hear the lamentation of their women—in my bed!”

For the intonation exercise, students repeat the phrase “I do what I want” with a variety of different moods.

“Say it like you’re happy!” Jones shouts. (“I do what I want.”) Say it like you’re sad! (“I do what I want.” The intonation utterly unchanged.) Like you’re sad! (“I … do what I want.”) Say it like you’ve just won $5 million! (“I do what I want.”)

Raj, a 26-year-old Indian virgin, can barely get his voice to alter during intonation exercise. But on Sunday night, on the last evening of the boot camp, I watch him cold-approach a set of women at the Hotel Gansevoort and engage them in conversation for a half-hour. He does not manage to “number close” or “kiss close.” But he had done something that not very many people can do.

J.T. Tran, founder and CEO of ABCs of Attraction, a dating boot-camp, visited Yale for a Master’s Tea at Silliman College on Thursday. The self-styled “Asian playboy” later sat down with WEEKEND to discuss his relationships, his “tiger mom,” and why he ditched engineering to teach men the art of seduction.

Q: You started out in aerospace engineering, and now you’re a dating coach. When and how did you get into the dating business?

A: It’s a very long process. I wanted to be in NASA; that’s how I got into aerospace engineering. I actually got decently close for not having left the planet. But my social avenues were very limited with the industry that I was in. I was doing the traditional dating, from being set up on blind dates, doing internet dating, to going to after-work mixers. And [I was] just not having any kind of success. As an engineer I was like “OK, here’s a problem, let me research the solution and then apply that solution.” And that’s what I did. I found that pick-up is a very difficult pursuit to learn, but I did start to get good at it. I started a blog, and I was putting up my adventures and my misadventures. I had times when I just completely humiliated myself. I think that kind of honesty, as well as the fact that I was probably the only Asian-American in the blogosphere that was actually doing that, that I gained a certain popularity. I didn’t set up to make a company. It came to me. People were constantly asking me to help them out.

Q: Can you explain what exactly your company, the ABCs of Attraction, does?

A: It’s an independent pick-up dating advice company. Generally speaking, we take guys out three days and three nights. We’ll set up somewhere, have a lecture, PowerPoint presentation, exercises and drills. And a lot of times we’ll use girls, “wing girls.” These are either friends, ex-girlfriends or girlfriends, that understand the process, and the students will practice talking to these beautiful girls. You know, it’s like a dry run before the actual real deal. And then we take them out to the field, you know the bars, the clubs, the lounges, where they will meet complete strangers and see how far they can take the interaction.

Q: You call yourself the “Asian playboy”; that’s your stage name. What exactly is the message you’re trying to convey with that?

A: You know, where I am [now], it’s very different from where I started. I may be a jet-setter going around having fun, but I’m not that kind of hardcore player I used to be, where it was all about one-night stands and “let me see if I can get my first threesome” kind of deal. Obviously part of it is I’m just a little bit older — just a little bit more tired of all the stuff that goes in the nightlife. But the origin of the name was just kind of a tongue-in-cheek joke. I’m an Asian and I want to live a playboy lifestyle, so I’m the “Asian playboy.”

Q: In terms of what you’re trying to teach your students, then, is it just how to get a hook-up or a one-night stand?

A: A guy needs experience. This is the dirty little secret about successful guys. You may have your eyes on some tall, handsome guy that all the girls rave about, but the dirty secret is he’s probably good in bed. He’s probably slept with X amount of women, and that’s why girls like him. He’s confident, both outside and in the bedroom. You don’t get that level of confidence by reading romance novels and watching porn. You get that in real life. I encourage guys, especially if they don’t have experience, they need to get some under their belt. Just like guys don’t like girls who are a cold fish in bed, a girl doesn’t want a guy that’s just fumbling around and is completely clueless as to how to turn a girl on.

Q: Your dating philosophy seems to focus a lot on the fact that you’re an Asian man and the difficulties Asian men in particular face in the dating scene. Could you talk about what specifically the challenges are for Asian men?

A: The challenges Asian men face, it’s very multifaceted, ranging from negative media perceptions, from stereotypes, to what our family does to us, the kind of social isolation that the “tiger-type” parenting produces.

Q: Did you have a “tiger mom” or “tiger dad”?

A: Yeah, in a way. If I got like a B or a C I got spanked; they got a belt and spanked me. Or I would have to go into the corner and kneel down on Legos and hold my arms out for like an hour. But at the same time, because my mom divorced, we kids were on our own for a very long time. So it became, in a certain way, more laissez-faire. I think that combination allowed me to be where I am. I have the diligence and the hard work ethic to achieve it, but at the same time I didn’t form those strong mental constructs of “I have to do this.” I am obviously the black sheep in my family, but in many ways I am the most successful.

Q: What does your family think about your career now?

A: It’s kept very vague. Obviously this is a very odd industry that I’m in. But at the same time it’s like, my mom knows I’m somewhat important, kind of famous, so long as it’s not obvious. It’s very “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”

Q: Does she read your blog?

A: No, she just knows I’ve been on TV and in newspapers. She’s not interested and doesn’t really care for the nuts and bolts of it, so long as “yeah our son’s important, he does good stuff.”

Q: Do you have advice for male students at Yale?

A: A couple things. Girls don’t realize that a guy is terrified or is anxious. Obviously not every man is like that, but for most, the idea of talking to a girl makes them nervous. They don’t understand that women don’t see that. Also just for Asians in general, is the idea to be open to meeting whomever: white, black, latina.

Q: Do you think guys should always make the first move?

A: Basically, yes. It’s nice if a girl makes the move; frankly it just makes things so much easier. But at the same time, you should not, ever, depend upon that.

Q: A lot of the suggestions you have for how men can walk up to women seem to happen in a bar or club setting. What about guys who don’t consider themselves hard partiers?

A: Well first, the nightlife setting is purely for practice. You can make all the mistakes you want in a club or a bar; no one cares the next day. If you’re very shy and inexperienced, you’re going to make mistakes. Now, during the day itself, your mistakes are more glaring and obvious. We start at the nightlife because it’s good practice. In the day, you’ll probably find more girls that are relationship-worthy. The day is for more serious-type game, if you will. But if the woman of your dreams is at the coffee shop and you’re still too scared to approach, that coffee shop is not the place to practice.

Q: What is your ideal first date?

A: I used to be very creative on dates. It depends on my mood. There was a point in time when I really wanted the adventure-going kind of girl. I would say, let’s go bungee-jumping. I would go go-kart racing. One thing I’m doing now in Los Angeles is going to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. I discovered it because there was a Tibetan Buddhist exhibit, and I wanted to take a girl. It doesn’t matter necessarily where you take the girl, and it doesn’t have to be expensive. It’s about the experience that you give a girl, because the last thing a girl wants, especially if she’s dated a lot of guys, is the same dinner-and-a-movie that everyone has taken her on.

Q: What is your most awkward dating experience?

A: I’ve had girls that I’ve ditched at the bar simply because they’re completely self-entitled brats. Oh … I took a girl, we were going ice skating/shopping at a mall, and she got a call from her dad that her grandmother had died. I had to bring her home, and that was the end of that.

Q: What are your Valentine’s Day plans?

A: Unfortunately I’m working. That’s the thing, I work on weekends. Other than like Christmas or Easter, the fun holidays are the holidays that I’m working. I’m in New York, and then I go to London. It’s a little bit ironic. But there’s a girl … we’ll be having a late Valentine’s.

Q: What are your plans for that?

A: I was thinking about going to Stonehenge. I don’t know if that’s an actual date, but I’ve never been to Stonehenge. While I’m in New York I might go to Tiffany’s, buy her a bracelet or something, a little bit romantic. We’ll see.

Q: Do you have any advice for female students at Yale?

A: It depends on the type of guy you’re attracted to. If the guy is shy and intelligent, he is probably not going to know the signals that you’re giving off. It’s hard for me to give advice if the girl is always going after the one guy that plays lacrosse or rowing, the classic tall good-looking guy. But if she wants the nice guy, then she may need to make the first move. Just understand that some guys literally do not know the signals. Sometimes you have to hit them over the head.

Is romance dead on Valentine's Day?

For those of you taking women out this Valentine’s Day (which should be all of you!), I am going to give you a mission.

Your mission may seem contrary to everything you have learned in however long you’ve been involved in our community, but it’s not. It may seem like a sabotage of the man you have become since starting your journey, but it’s not.

It may also seem too easy. That, however, it is.

Relax, lean back, and take a deep breath. This will be a trying concept for you to wrap your mind around, I know, and you must enlist your strongest mental faculties for the cause.

Your mission this Valentine’s day is to stop being a PUA. Just for one day.

You will be the Anti-PUA. You will be a FUN UP ARTIST!

What do I mean by this?

I mean that this one day is your chance to be a Fun Up Artist and and do with all of the things you’ve been taught so vehemently to avoid as a PUA.

• I want you to buy your girl dinner.
• Buy your girl drinks.
• Hell, even bring her flowers and maybe chocolates, too!

Valentine’s Day is not just another day, Valentine’s Day is a challenge.

Every other day of the year, we must embody the independence of man- the Fun Up Artist- while opening ourselves, slowly and carefully, to beautiful women we meet in order to find out if they are right for us.

• Are these women worth our time?
• Are they as motivated and intelligent and capable of increasing the quality of my life as we are to them?

We are not going to sacrifice ourselves for just any woman. We must be the unflinching rock in the storm of whatever club or bar or venue we may be in. Valentine’s day is different because, and please take note, this day is a test of being an Anti-PUA.

Valentine’s Day is a test of our abilities to out-do ourselves in the realm of romance as the Fun Up Artist. Along with her birthday, this is the day which we consciously make the decision to spoil our woman. We are entering in to a race against ourselves, to see who can make her more overwhelmed with pleasure and delight and I will tell you why we do it on this day.

WARNING: Supplication is the great eliminator.

The man that puts her comfort before his is sacrificing himself and is, therefore, inherently unattractive to her. He holds no reproductive value, only the promise of bland pleasantries and an easier life. He is not a mate or a lover, he is a servant that can be kept and used at a woman’s whim. He is definitely neither a Pick Up Artist nor a Fun Up Artist.

Who can blame them?

To remove the likelihood of being dismissed as “the nice guy”, we fight against this stereotype to achieve positive results: Attraction for being morally unflinching and dominant enough to show that we get what we want, when we want it.

These are qualities that tap into the biology of women every day and inspire huge, chemical responses that intrigue, attract, and arouse her. These are incredibly powerful buttons to push.

However, on Valentine’s days of yore, men have spent thousands of years showing her exactly how good we are at pushing the other buttons; not the buttons of challenge and intrigue, but the buttons of sensory (and sensual) delight. This year, it’s your turn as the Fun Up Artist.

So, this Valentine’s Day, make your girl feel incredibly special in a way that no man, let alone a lowly pick up artist, has ever done before.

Whether it be the apropos dinner and a movie, or a last-minute flight to an exotic locale, make it your Fun Up Artist mission to show her exactly how well you understand what it is that women want, and how good you are at giving that to her.

And last but not least, trust me when I say she will take the rest of the year to repay you with the wonderful delicacies and feminine charms that only women have (wink wink).
